ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN A LIFE GROUP
Every Christian can benefit from being part of a small community of believers that care for each other, spend time discussing and learning from the Bible and growing in their relationship with Jesus. Those who call OCC their spiritual home are actively encouraged to join a Life Group. Belonging to such a group will also provide opportunities to grow spiritually as well as to build relationships and making a ‘larger’ church ‘smaller’.
LIFE GENERALLY CAN BE TOUGH
Life in the 21st Century is difficult. Whether we are Christians or non-believers it is difficult to successfully navigate the challenges of life. This is the result of the general decay in modern day morals and values, a wide acceptance that there is no such thing as absolute truth and the impact of a strongly materialistic and self-centred society. It is important for our own spiritual growth to engage with people with whom we can build relationships, discuss the trials of life and look for genuine friendship and support in our Christian journey. An Answer to this is: …by joining a Life Group.
LIFE GROUPS HELP ON LIFE’S JOURNEY
Life Groups usually comprise between 6 and 10 people from OCC and they meet about 3 times a month for up to 2 hours either in private homes around Redditch or at the church. The purposes of a Life Group include sharing, praying and caring for each other as well as discussing the Scriptures….besides having fun with each other such as barbecues and other events!
Some groups meet during an evening and others during the day so you should be able to find a group that meets your needs or interests.
If you would like more information or consider joining a group, please speak to one of the church leaders or contact the Life Group Ministry Co-ordinator, Roger Keyte by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
