Every Christian can benefit from being part of a small community of believers that care for each other, spend time discussing and learning from the Bible and growing in their relationship with Jesus. Christians at OCC are encouraged to join a Life Group which will also provide opportunities to build relationships and making a ‘large’ church ‘smaller’.
Our society in the 2nd decade of the 21st Century is a difficult time for a Christian or even a non-believer who is being drawn to a relationship with Jesus. This is the result of the general decay in modern day morals and values, a wide acceptance that there is no such thing as absolute truth and the impact of a strongly materialistic and self-centred society. In such a world how do we find people who we can build relationships with, discuss the trials of life and look for genuine friendship and support in our Christian journey?
The Answer: …by joining a Life Group. These Groups often comprise 6-10 people from OCC and usually meet every 2 weeks for an hour or two to share with and care for each other as well as discussing the Scriptures….besides barbecues and other events!
OCC have Life Groups that meet in different areas of Redditch – some meeting during the evening and some during the day and some with special interests.
